Problem/Opportunity: Cadillac Fairview had been a major part of the traditional retail ecosystem for decades. In 2019, CF unveiled Ravel by CF Inc., its in-house innovation hub created to “disrupt the shopping center landscape.” As the owner of some of the busiest malls in North America (CF Toronto Eaton Centre, Vancouver’s CF Pacific Centre), CF saw every bit of the transformation its retail clients were going through and realized it could play an influential role.
How I Helped: I was one of the first hires of the new company, Ravel by CF Inc. I was hired as the Director of Digital Product Development, overseeing the commercialization of innovations that drove the CF transformational agenda. Essentially playing the role of Head of Digital Product, I led a team of product managers accountable for CF websites, mobile applications, in-mall technologies, digital payments, loyalty, and data and analytics.
Business Outcome: Our digital product team worked collaboratively with multiple outsourced development teams to deliver award-winning digital products to the end consumer throughout the country.
